I watched Bettie Page Reveals All immediately after The Notorious Bettie Page to contrast the real story with the fictional depiction. Bettie Page fans should watch Bettie Page Reveals All since it is mostly narrated by Bettie Page and contains numerous photographs and some video footage of the titular subject in her heyday. Bettie Page Reveals All portrays a more complex person than the movie: her early life was filled with poverty and sexual abuse; the majority of her romantic relationships were filled with physical abuse-either she endured it or threatened to inflict it; she was consistently financially exploited; and she suffered from a mental disability as she got older. It was wonderful to discover that her famous fans lifted her out of poverty and protected her legal rights to her image by hiring an attorney. Because I’m not actually into Bettie Page, I probably would not have watched it if there was no movie.
