Where to Watch

Can art, even crappy art save the world? Yes. I love this theme in movies by Tarantino & now Affleck to show a world where imagination defangs foes long enough to save lives and produce a win for the good guys. Argo is no Inglorious Bastards, but it has good pacing, is a solid movie & thoroughly old school in style & plot. Only negative: during the credits, you see the photos of the people that the actors were playing. Spectacular casting except for Affleck. Every actor was amazing (hurrah, Victor Garber seems to be an Affleck movie staple) and throughout the movie, I thought the only negative was Affleck casting himself because everyone else has so much range & Affleck is a way better director & writer than Affleck the actor, who has a flat affect, but when I saw that Tony Mendez was a tiny Hispanic man, I was like, “Seriously! There is totally a tiny Hispanic male actor who would have rocked this part. Come on!”
