Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology

I never watched King of Queens, but I like Leah Remini from her brief stint on NBC with Sharon Lawrence in Fired Up. I may not read tabloids, but if someone is willing to give me a first-hand account of the scuttlebutt that graces its headlines, I’m interested. Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology is a quick and enjoyable read, and Leah Remini is simultaneously self-deprecating and full of New Yorker brash confidence. She starts with her rough childhood, why Scientology was appealing to her family and how her gene for self-preservation tempered her financial and time-consuming devotion to her religious beliefs. Anyone even remotely interested in Tom Cruise or Jennifer Lopez should check out Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. Remini seems to still be a believer in the word of L. Ron Hubbard than how it has evolved after his death and seeks to defend those who are financially and psychologically victimized, but don’t have the resources and support that she has. I hope that she finds her friend.
