Still Talking

Author: Joan Rivers, Richard Meryman

Publish Date: 15/02/1991

I think that Still Talking will be the last Joan Rivers book that I will ever read. She wrote more than the ones that I have reviewed to date, but they seem to be about topics other than her life–like jewelry or fictional stories. Still Talking is her second autobiography and immediately follows Enter Talking. Joan Rivers (or her ghostwriter) did an excellent job explaining the nitty gritty logistics of staying on top once she achieved success and the politics of fame. She is extremely vulnerable in laying out her relationship with Edgar Rosenberg. Still Talking is also like a time capsule for the entertainment industry: Las Vegas and television production during its golden era. If you have any interest in the entertainment world or Joan Rivers, Still Talking is a must read. RIP.
