Unlike Romulus, My Father, After Romulus is more in line with Raimond Gaita’s professional life as he ponders philosophical questions such as how to live a moral life while simultaneously treating those who do not with love and kindness, not judgment. As an incredibly judgmental person, I found that concept intriguing, but philosophical questions are less riveting than sharing stories about his early life.
