I Hate Everyone…Starting with Me is pure jokes. There are no autobiographical stories or encouraging self-help proverbs. I Hate Everyone…Starting with Me is just Joan Rivers being offensive and funny. Some of her jokes are hacky, dated and stereotypes, but I think that Joan Rivers thought that if she was willing to make fun of herself, the Holocaust and Anne Frank, anything was fair game so she dusted off some index cards and made a book. If you recall the meme about what she wanted at her funeral, that quote came from I Hate Everyone…Starting with Me.
