I’m reaching the point where I’m forgetting what happened in the previous books & am grateful that Ms. Harris always places helpful recaps throughout the story. In contrast to the TV series, the regular cast of characters, even the supes, are pretty normal & worry about practical daily life while struggling against sinister plots whereas the show reduces popular characters to stereotypes. For example, the werewolves are blue class, stable citizens of society as opposed to backwoods White trash stereotypes presented in the series. Deadlocked: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel is light fare is OK, but nothing so outstanding that you will remember it a week later.
