11/22/63 by Stephen King is shockingly moving. Equally a book about an emotional journey and time travel, but not in a sci-fi way. Initially the book suffered editorial problems-as if Stephen King thought that he already gave the reader details, but didn’t so when he elaborates on a concept in a later passage, I found myself slightly confused and flipping back to see what I missed. Though another door stop sized book, doesn’t suffer the same “are we there yet” problems as Under The Dome. King does feature a cameo of characters from one of his famous books, but not in a Dark Tower way though shares similar themes. Thoroughly enjoyable, but may take a bit to get comfortable and catch the rhythm.
