The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is the strongest of the trilogy: great, unpredictable story, great acting–characters seem like whole people, not conceptions, but still manages to keep the audience uncomfortable without being exploitive. The Swedish cultural underbelly is darker than its happy facade. Fine as a stand alone movie.
