Where to Watch

I really enjoyed the first season of The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but not the second season. Instead of further developing the Avengers before introducing new characters, the second season started with other members of the Marvel Universe in quick succession without a proper brief introduction to the main characters: Fantastic Four, Ms. Marvel, S.W.O.R.D. members, etc. I began to think that there was another season that I missed or that the main cast already did crossovers on the other Marvel characters cartoon shows and by not watching them all, I missed something. Instead The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes just had a poorly constructed second season and heartbreakingly curtailed the theme song. The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes should have waited until later in the season to do crossovers sparingly instead of letting them overshadow the main cast. Even a friend’s nine year old son thought so, and he is The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ demographic, which may explain why the show wasn’t renewed. The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes finally hit its stride when it began to develop the Skrull storyline in episode 7 and does a better job of introducing characters such as the Winter Soldier, Spider Man and Vision so it isn’t unwatchable, just uneven. Watch the second season of The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes if you are a Marvel expert otherwise you can stop at the end of the first season.
