Where to Watch

Objectified is a documentary about the story behind all the every day objects that we are surrounded by-how, why and who designed them. I found it extremely interesting, especially as designers consider the environmental impact of objects that have outlived their usefulness. I also appreciated that Objectified asks pertinent questions such as why things have a shape that reflect past necessity, but now that objects like cameras no longer need film, why hasn’t the design changed to something completely more radical? I think that Objectified requires your full attention if you find the subject matter interesting enough to give it seventy five minutes of uninterrupted viewing. I would recommend Objectified for graphic designers, engineers or anyone interested in random knowledge. If you liked Helvetica, then Objectified is a must see film.
