Where to Watch

I saw Sin City when it came out in 2005 so I didn’t remember much when I decided to watch Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. I read a quick summary on Wikipedia to refresh my memory, and after I finished watching Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, I read its summary on Wikipedia. Um, how can Sin City: A Dame to Kill For simultaneously be about events that happened before and after Sin City? Is this correct or a misinterpretation? Maybe I need to stop seeing sequels unless I’m willing to rewatch the first film. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is visually interesting and has a great cast except Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dennis Haysbert-neither men are completely believable as their characters. Disclaimer: I may have been too tired to watch it, but I just wasn’t into it. I love Eva Green, but I was most interested in Jessica Alba’s story, which means pigs are officially flying. There is not more nuance, but at least women are not just victims &/or sex objects-they can be agents of evil. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is classified as neo noir for a reason. Skip it unless you must watch all things related to Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez.
