#Hulu’s Watchlist is a disaster with no solution in sight @Hulu

Where to Watch

Before the attached emails were exchanged, I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with Hulu support & Hulu support suggested that I send a photo of what my Watchlist looked like because Hulu did not show that my queue had converted to Watchlist OR understand the categories that I was describing: Videos and TV Shows. Hulu also didn’t know their email address so I had to use the website to ask for it. The attached emails are what followed. The situation is STILL not resolved.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for reaching out to us and I’m sorry for the trouble here.

I’ve located your account and see that your particular account has not yet switched to the Watchlist yet. It is still under the “Shows you Watch” feature.

Would you be able to clarify as to the issue you’re experiencing? If you’re able to provide any screenshots, we’ll be better equipped to investigate further.

We look forward to hearing from you and do apologize for any frustration this may have caused. If you have any other questions, please let me know and I’ll be more than happy to help!

Thanks,
Trina Y.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for replying back with that info. I took another look at your account and it seems like your account now has our new Watchlist. Watchlist has replaced Favorites, Queue, and Shows you Watch. All of your shows that were in Favorites have been transferred over to Watchlist. Since your account has recently received our new Watchlist, I suggest heading to (https://help.hulu.com/articles/50847982) to get familiar with all of the new features, and functions.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Randy G.

NO IT DOES NOT HELP!!!!!! I think of Hulu as a better alternative to Cable & DVRs until now & I’ve been a customer since the beginning

FIRST PROBLEM:

Here are the shows that were in my queue, but did not transfer to Watchlist then when I tried to add them, they won’t get added:

Law & Order SVU-most recent season

OUAT-most recent season

The Bridge-both US & Danish/American version, 2nd season

The Lost Ship

Line of Duty Season 2 & 3

12 Monkeys

Sleepy Hollow Season 3

SECOND PROBLEM:

I don’t understand the distinction between Videos & TV Shows. I already sent you the photo of that.

Some things only show up on Videos: Misfits, Hellsing, Hellsing Ultimate, Attack on Titan

& some show up on both: Witchblade & Party Down

THIRD PROBLEM

I used to know when something was going to expire way in advance of 7 days. Where is that information now? I want to know before it qualifies for Expiring Soon

FOURTH PROBLEM

Last week, when new episodes were available for shows, I had no idea because they didn’t automatically appear in my Watchlist until AFTER I saw it if I was up to date on watching the show: The Nightly Show, The Daily Show, Homefree, etc.

I asked these questions last week already, but now Watchlist is supposed to be fully implemented & they are still not resolved.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about the trouble you’ve been having with our service. We’ve received a number of reports from others about items from their queue not carrying over to their watchlist , and we are currently investigating the issue.

While the Watchlist does not currently have a feature to alert you of changes via email, there is an Expiring Soon section right on the top of the Watchlist ( www.hulu.com/watchlist ); so you may find that page useful. You can also find additional information for any video by hovering over the episode image or visiting the episode’s main page in your Hulu app. If the video is set to expire within 5 days, you’ll see a notification posted.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience. If there’s anything else I can do to assist you as we continue to investigate, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Eisha W

I want a refund for this month & not to be charged until Watchlist issues have been fixed. I just figured out that in addition to the shows that I listed in my earlier emails, I cannot add Hotel Hell and Prisoners of War to my Watchlist. I listed 4 separate problems & I have received no real answers.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for the feedback. We’re committed to making sure that Watchlist keeps getting smarter and better at bringing you the shows and movies you want, when you want them. We’re confident that your experience with Watchlist will improve over time. I’ll share your thoughts with our team. Thank you for sharing your input!

Our team is working on getting the points you mentioned rectified and we thank you for your patience while we do so. While not a resolution, I will go ahead and apply a credit on the account for the coming month and I thank you for your patience while we get this resolved.

Thanks,
Joseph R.
