Hi Sarah,
I’m sorry to hear you had an unfortunate experience here over the weekend, and I apologize on behalf of the Coolidge.
I wanted to talk to the manager and staff who were here before I responded to you, and I think I have a better understanding of the situation now.
The manager that morning did speak at length with the staff person that you had an incident with about their attitude and actions that morning, and I will be speaking with them both in person in the near future. It’s my goal to use this incident as a positive teaching situation for the staff.
As you know from speaking with the manager, we were short-staffed that morning, so there was a bit of an extra burden on the box office staff. We also had tight seating times as the band that performed for the Saturday morning kids’ show which was in the room you were seeing the Witch in needed time to load out their equipment before we let people in for the noon show. None of that excuses the behavior you witnessed; I do want to let you know such behavior is the exception and not the norm.
I’d like to offer you some passes to in some small way make up for your poor experience should you choose to visit us again. If you can give me a mailing address I’ll get those out to you.
Again, my apologies. I hope to bring something positive out of this incident, and if you come again as i hope you will, please feel free to let me know your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Andrew Thompson
Operations Director
