Solaris (1972) is a classic, atmospheric & modern retelling of Narcissus. Someone from tv show Miracles said that when we embrace the dead & move away from reality, that is when we face danger. Eerie final images echo this although initially, main character’s willingness to confront past mistakes was admirable, but ultimately he became addicted to living in a world with no consequences & becomes haunted by memories.
