The self destructive cycle of violence transcends time & creates villains out of heroes & traumatizes children thus shaping their futures into a strengthening of this useless cycle. This part of the story resonates, but the actual elements of the mythos in Afro Samurai: Resurrection loses me. A mixture of melding machine with recently resurrected/wounded warriors, some samurai code, headbands bestowing power…I didn’t realize until reading about the preceding series that one character had 3 arms. Just not my thing.
