The Proposal is a romcom & I enjoyed it, but we had 5 minutes of a powerful woman then the remainder of the movie is devoted to rectifying the power dynamics & putting her in her place…for Hugh Grant, Keanu Reeves, Benjamin Bratt, Liam Neeson, Viggo Mortensen, fine & yes; Tim McGraw, Julian McMahon, OK, but Ryan Reynolds!?! For True Blood fans, it was nice to see Russell, the King of Mississippi. Best villain ever!
