Where to Watch

Magnificent cast & funny, but I really just want to see Pegg & Frost in UK doing their thing so anything else, even if funny, Paul cannot be considered as amazing as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. “It’s not fat. It’s power.” Seth Rogen’s voice could be a muppet’s. Some scenes are hilarious. One excellent cameo. Jason Bateman is a dream come true. “Are you gay” gag was tiresome & not appreciated–don’t remember if used in past or just US juvenile humor leaking through. My main problem: P&F first two movies always focus on one character & doesn’t get distracted though lots of interesting things happen. There is even character development. This was more like a lot of funny people mostly doing their usual schtick, which is funny, but P&F also happen to be there. Warning: Some Christians may not like it because of portrayal of Christians. I wasn’t offended because, to be fair, some Christians are like that–though stereotypes of gun wielding, shunning doctors Christians is a bit stereotypical, I think it IS fair considering how P&F ridicule themselves AND their fan base, the nerd community. If it was my movie, I don’t see science, reason or the possibility of alien life as incompatible with Christian faith or the existence of God so that plot point wouldn’t work. But without that plot point, the many attempts at cursing would be gone.
